Bearing Types
Various types of bearing are used to guide the armature in its thrust axis from simple linear ball bushings to high precision hydrostatic bearings. Hydrostatic bearings offer exceptional guidance for larger water-cooled shakers, while linear ball bushings are used for the majority of air-cooled shakers available today.
CVMSL are able to refurbish hydrostatic bearings, fit high precision piston seals and ‘O’-rings if wear is detected at an early stage as part of a maintenance program. Engineers are able to modify customers’ shakers from using ‘Air-bearings’ to linear ball bushings to improve operational specification & reliability.
