Thonet Bike
This is project I started with Thonet. I went to them with the idea of designing a bike for them, well really using their masterful skills of hand steam bending. It had to done by hand, well at least this first stage. The elements were then scanned into 3D and fed into the computer to be altered to take the high tensile reinforcing elements. These gave the more fragile parts of the structure the rigidity it required.
