Glen Bullivant FICM
Glen is a senior Qualified Credit Manager and Financial Administrator with a career long exposure to the function in many roles for a number of important Industrial and Service organisations. An advocate of total quality management, he has strong commercial awareness of the necessary integration of credit management with the other functional activities of business. Glen is a firm champion of the contribution of credit management to profitability growth and to overall commercial success. A friendly, easy-going personality is supported by a thorough systematic, and organised approach to problem solving, where he welcomes a team involvement in the achievement of planned results. A proven team motivator.
He was awarded fellowship of the Institute of Credit Management (FICM) in 1985 and the ICM Meritorious Service Award in 1986. Elected a Member of ICM National Council in 1988, he has risen through National Treasurer, Vice Chairman and Chairman of Council [1997 - 1999] to replace Trevor Phillips on his retirement from Council as a Vice President in 2003. Somehow, he also manages to fit in membership of the ICM Education Committee, ICM Examination Board, Chairmanship of ICM Technical Advisory Committee, membership of CBI/BSI Technical Committee responsible for BS7890 amongst his many speaking and lecturing engagements.
Glen is an avid author on credit management subjects - currently a main contributor to ‘Effective Credit Control and Debt Recovery’, first published October, 1999 by Tolley’s.
