Adnam was a little boy whose family were among 3,000 refugees ‘ethnically cleansed’ from their home at the beginning of the Bosnian war – with only the possessions they could carry. They were driven through the freezing night in open-topped lorries to a disused power station where Miracles’ Founder, Theo Ellert, and the aid group she was with had just arrived with food and blankets ... and a little pink fluffy pig.
We don’t know what happened to Adnam but his memory was immortalised by Theo in her painting in oil on canvas. The painting was donated to help fund Miracles’ early work in both Bosnia and here at home. Your donations, too, will make those miracles continue to happen.
