On a busy day I may take blood from over 100 people. It can be a demanding job, requiring both professionalism and excellent communication skills. It can be very tough on some patients. I flew in from New Zealand last May and soon made contact with Mediplacements. After a thorough interview and good responses from referees I joined their books and found myself in almost seamless employment. At first I was living in Reading and Mediplacements found me work at the Royal Berkshire. Then there was a shift to Newbury Hospital and since August I have been at Kings where I am attached to various clinics and the outpatients department. I am now on a permanent contract."
