The Aviva Lifestyle development at Loxley Park is a specially designed complex of one and two bedroom quality apartments and a variety of amenities set in a fantastic five-acre location in the heart of the local community. DEVELOPING A DREAM

In developing Loxley Park, we dreamed about our ideal place to spend our later years – and set about bringing it to life. The luxurious and secure one and two bedroom apartments are set in beautiful surroundings, overlooking a lake, in extensive landscaped grounds.

Apartments are available to rent, or buy on a restricted covenant basis. Depending on your circumstances, you may qualify for local authority funding. The amenities on offer are designed for your enjoyment – to nurture your body, mind and spirit – with a restaurant/bar, a health suite, and numerous activities right on your doorstep.

For your peace of mind, there are a range of special services you can call upon, should you choose, including emergency assistance and care options tailored to your needs. Our robust 24-hour a day support network is designed to create a worry free environment, enabling you to enjoy fully the Aviva Lifestyle.


WHO WE ARE

Aviva Lifestyle Ltd is the sister company to Palms Row Health Care, an innovative care company with over ten years experience. We specialise in caring for older people, including those with high dependencies, at five purpose-built nursing and residential care homes in Sheffield, London and Kent.

These homes provide high quality care in a well-designed, comfortable and friendly environment and are well-regarded by the people we care for, their families, social services and health care professionals alike.

Through our innovative style we identified the need for a broader approach to the provision and design of older people services and facilities, and set about researching the possibilities. Before creating Aviva Lifestyle we spoke to a wide variety of people about their hopes and aspirations for older age. Inspired by this we built our concept around the positive feedback we received. Healthy support and input was received from Sheffield City Council, Social Services and the Housing Department in our planning process.

Aviva Lifestyle was developed after our research focused on the need for quality accommodation in a specially designed setting that would allow people aged 55+ to live independently, while providing the security of on-site care services if required.

If you are independent, but want to ensure a strong support network for the future, then Aviva Lifestyle is for you. Our inclusive accommodation package means no more worries about utility bills, while a weekly cleaning service lightens the load further, leaving you to enjoy the pastimes of your choice.

Should you require additional care services, these may be purchased on an hourly basis – as little or as much as you need. If you fall ill, for example, we will ensure you are cared for and comfortable, have any medication you need and prepare your meals.

If you have a problem with your apartment or an appliance we will sort it out for you – no more negotiating with tradesmen and worrying about the cost. Aviva Lifestyle is accessible and affordable – costs are comparable with those of a residential care home.

Depending on your circumstances, local authority funding assistance may be available; our on-site administration team will be able to advise you on any issues of this nature.

THE APARTMENTS

Loxley Park is rich in the details that contribute to an enjoyable lifestyle. All apartments at Loxley Park are well equipped, secure and benefit from a light, airy ambience. They all have fully fitted kitchens, bathrooms, spacious open-plan living rooms and well-proportioned bedrooms.

Each apartment benefits from a washer-dryer, tiled floors and carpets and curtains throughout. Central heating and double-glazing ensure warmth and comfort while in some apartments feature fireplaces add that homely touch. All bathrooms offer the flexibility of showers and baths.

Most of the well-equipped one and two bedroom apartments have a balcony or patio doors. All the apartments enjoy stunning views over the River Loxley, the lake or gardens. There is a CCTV door entry system for your security and connections are in place for Sky TV. Regular computer users can take advantage of the latest high speed, broadband connections for email or the Internet, at home, or in Loxley Park’s IT suite.


OUTSTANDING AMENITIES

Outside you’ll find attractive landscaped gardens to explore. There are raised flowerbeds, enabling keen gardeners to potter with ease, or you can take a riverside walk or rest in the seating areas and enjoy the fresh air.

For those who prefer to be on the go, there is a croquet lawn and a putting green. An outstanding feature at Loxley Park is our private lake within the grounds where you can enjoy fishing with friends or just relax in the tranquil surroundings.

Indoors there are communal lounges throughout the complex, including a library lounge with fantastic southerly views over the river and a lounge with stunning westerly views over the lake. There is a snooker room, a computer room and a small resource centre where a range of lifelong learning classes will be available. Loxley Park offers a wide range of facilities to help enhance your lifestyle.


HEALTH & WELL- BEING

Those who like to keep fit can benefit from our health suite, which has been specifically designed for those aged 55+ and incorporates a range of exercise equipment, a Jacuzzi and male and female changing rooms. We also have a Well-Being Centre for consultations with GPs, nutritionists and other therapists.

There is a hairdressing salon on site and a convenience shop will ensure you are always well stocked up with basic provisions. However, a Multi Person Vehicle, driven by residents or staff is available for shopping trips and other outings.

A full-time co-ordinator is in post to arrange a programme of activities in line with residents’ wishes and suggestions. Participating in the activities is, of course, entirely optional – you can do as much, or as little as you choose.


FLEXIBLE FACILITIES

Combining freedom of choice with peace of mind and security is one of the key philosophies at Loxley Park. We developed our range of facilities and services with the specific purpose of making your life easier and more pleasurable.

You can prepare meals in your own well-equipped kitchen if you want to – but you don’t have to. There is a quality restaurant on site, where you can enjoy main meals prepared from fresh produce (you order a day in advance) or you can choose from a range of light meals and snacks, which are available throughout the day with no need to pre-order.

The restaurant has an integral bar, a hub of social activity, where you can meet up with friends for a drink, or get to know new people. Each apartment comes complete with a washer-dryer, but you can choose whether or not to do your own laundry. If you opt to use Loxley Park’s bed linen and towels, we will launder them for you at no extra cost at the in-house commercial laundry facility. We will also launder your own household linen and clothing for a small charge.

Your friends and family are always welcome at Loxley Park and there is a guest suite available for visitors to stay overnight. Meeting your needs is our prime concern. Aviva Lifestyle is all about your choices. If residents want trips to the swimming pool, outings to the theatre or cinema or a weekly ‘take away’ night, then we will do our best to help. Your well-being and enjoyment is our priority.


HELP IS ON HAND

Aviva Lifestyle combines fabulous facilities and amenities with the peace of mind that comes from knowing there will always be help on hand. When you need it Loxley Park benefits from a comprehensive management and administration team to help you deal with day-to-day needs and official matters, such as accessing support grants. In fact, whatever your concern, Aviva Lifestyle will aim to help you find a solution.

Should you suffer an injury or illness, our trained staff will take care of you. If you have a problem with your apartment – we have a handyman on site to help you. Cleaners and grounds staff will help to maintain your home and the entire complex in excellent condition.

High quality passenger lifts provide easy access to all levels and state of the art electric buggies housed in their own purpose built on site garage are available to ensure that even those who are less mobile can take full advantage of the spacious gardens.


CARING FOR YOU

At Loxley Park we offer a 24-hour emergency call out service. This radio-based system enables residents to call a trained member of staff via a pendant or a wrist activator in the event of a fall or other emergency.

A range of care options, created in conjunction with social services are available for your use on a regular basis, according to your need, or on a short-term basis to help you recover from illness. These services are charged for on an hourly basis and may qualify for local authority funding assistance.

Regular care can be as little as half an hour per day, to several hours daily and covers help with bathing – we have a specialist bathing room – to assistance with dressing or administering medications, within the comfort of your own home.

There is a professionally trained team of carers on site whose priority it is to ensure the care you require is the care you receive. This offers an innovative flexible approach to the delivery of care to match your specific needs.


SECURITY & INDEPENDENCE

Aviva Lifestyle has placed great emphasis on making Loxley Park a safe and secure place to make your home. In addition to the presence of on site security staff 24 hours a day, the whole development is covered by a Closed Circuit TV system, enabling Loxley Park to be monitored continuously.

For your added peace of mind each individual apartment has its own secure visual and voice door entry system, allowing you to let in to your home only the people you choose. At Loxley Park you can benefit from all these facilities and the majority of the services you would want right on your doorstep. However, we encourage you to come and go exactly as you please. There is ample parking space for car-owning residents and their guests, while non-drivers will find shops, restaurants, pubs and access to the supertram and buses are all within a short walk.
