C-Tech invest in more staff training
Keeping pace with the technological aspects of contract electronics manufacturing is the core of our investment strategy but that's not to say that when the opportunity arises we are not prepared to invest in soft skills such as telephone handling training that will contribute to our great reputation for customer service.
Martin Henley of Effective Marketing put the course content together and with members of our sales team, accounts team, procurement team attending he challenged the group to identify opportunities for achieving better customer service and having more effective telephone conversations.
Martin said "I am often asked to organise telemarketing training and it was interesting to be asked to conduct a course of this type. C-Tech is an incredibly proactive business who are always looking for opportunities to deliver more for their customers".

Supporting Sussex in the TwentyTwenty
For the second year running C-Tech were proud sponsors of a Twenty Twenty cricket match at the Sussex County Cricket Club.
These are always great occasions where we take the opportunity to invite our customers, suppliers and supporters and thank them for their support throughout the year.
The environment is incredibly relaxed and allows us all to get to know each other better. We were entertained this by year by the legendary Tony Cottey, former Glamorgan and Sussex player and member of winning 2003 ECB Championship side. Tony gave us an amusing insight into his career, especially the time that he spent playing with the perhaps even more legendary Viv Richards.
In his role as Business Realtions Manager Tony was a fantastic host and took the time to bring in a few of the team which was a great opportunity to meet some of the most successful young players playing in the UK right now.
You might ask why the team weren't playing cricket, and the answer of course is that the one thing we shouldn't rely on in Sussex is the weather, the game was rained off.
At C-Tech we consider ourselves very privileged to have such a great relationship with the Cricket Club when they are enjoying such great success and are incredibly proud to be able to support them.

IPC Training
C-Tech Electronics Ltd, has chosen KB Soldering Technology to provide an ongoing IPC training program for all our production staff.
Helen Donnelly Managing Director commented, we have a very positive outlook where training and development is concerned at C-Tech. The company has just invested substantially in new equipmentand we wanted to underpin this by investing in our people as well. After looking at various training options, we felt that appointing an external trainer was the right choice for us. Keren Brunton of KB spoke with us and we immediately felt she had right balance of practical experience and knowledge, to ensure we would get the best out of this training program.

New Pick n Place + Stencil Printing
Helen Donnelly, Managing Director of C-Tech Electronics, commented “after experiencing very challenging business conditions during 2009, we still felt confident enough to commit to a very significant investment program, which will further underpin our reputation as a leading contract manufacturing company.
Our latest round of investment has seen the arrival of a second Contacts C5 placement machine plus a Speedprint Stencil Printer from Blakell Europlacer and a Vantage ERF oven.
Drawing on our very positive experience of buying a Contacts C5 back in June 2008, we took the decision in late 2009 to buy another one. This time we opted for a machine which has a different but complimentary feeder configuration to our first C5 but more significantly, we also decided to place both machines inline, along with our new Stencil Printer/Oven and conveyer/stacker system to form a fully automated line.

New Investment Program Underway
C-Tech’s 2010 investment program has begun with the arrival of the latest Vantage ERFseries reflow oven.
The new ERF series has the flexibility required for varying production demands and represents the next generation of high performance lead free convection technology.
Its innovative design ensures uniform heat transfer with exceptional zone to zone separation. The comprehensive flux management system also reduces emissions normally associated with flux vapour, ensuring a much cleaner overall process.
The arrival of the reflow oven marks the beginning of a three stage investment program, which will also see the arrival of another C5 Contacts SMT machine and the installation of a fully automatic inline screen printer.
Helen Donnelly (Managing Director) - Commented: The arrival of our new equipment represents a significant investment on our part and truly underpins C-Tech’s commitment to providing high quality contract manufacturing services.

Well Done Gary !!!!!!
Gary Rice received a £100 holiday voucher, in recognition of passing his first year exams. He is currently studying on a day release program at Northbrook College and passed his BTEC HNC Engineering (Electronics) Year 1, with 1 pass and 4 merits.
Helen Donnelly – Managing Director commented – We are very proud of what Gary has achieved this year and as a result of this, we felt it was important to show him how pleased we are with his progress and hopefully the voucher will contribute to a well earned holiday.
Gary is one of two people that we are currently supporting through college and hopefully this will continue all the way to degree level.
As a local employer, we are totally committed to providing our employees with the opportunity and skills to develop and grow within our business. The fact that Gary is universally liked within our company for his pleasant attitude and hard work, truly underpins our decision to invest in local young people.
