Projects - Chanctonbury leisure centre - Storrington, West Sussex - for Sport England.

Work has recently been completed on the leisure centre. A special version of our ‘Buckingham’ luminaire was used, having control gear for ‘T5’ high output lamps to achieve the illuminance required as well as a shallow depth (75mm) to avoid existing steelwork. Arranged in continuous rows with through wiring channels, the luminaires could only be fixed to the sloping ceilings, creating a uniformity problem at floor level. We overcame this by incorporating a reflector over the lowest of the 3 lamps to direct a degree of light vertically downwards. The clean lines of our standard T5 DSW range complement the contemporary feel of the reception area.Consultants: Engineering Solutions Ltd. Contractor: Lauren Lloyd - Worthing.

Products - Over the last six years we have worked closely with Abbi Kiki in the development of her range of contemporary designer lighting. Some KikiUk designs now appear in our own product range, but Abbi has continued to produce her range of unique lighting and related products visit her website www.kikiuk.com to see her very latest ideas.

Projects - Work has recently been completed at the College of Law in Guildford. Surface ‘Swift’ fittings have been used to give unobtrusive light in the newly refurbished lounge area Contractor: Avery Electrical Guildford. Luminaire: Recessed ‘Swift’ WNR24.

Refurbishment Project - Recently we were called in to look at some existing fittings at a site in Woking. The original control gear was old and the wiring worn. The old ‘retro-fit’ plastic louvres werefalling apart generally the whole installation was in need of updating. The fittings were in a series of continuous runs and the customer wanted to preserve the overall look and feel of the original scheme. Working with the contractor we manufactured new control gear trays that were designed to fit into the existing trough. High frequency gear was used throughout. New louvres and infils were manufactured, and the whole project was completed inside a month.
