Brand new Marsha’s Furniture and Accessory store
opened in Hove.

A new and exciting concept in eco design has come to Brighton and Hove in the shape of Marsha’s Furniture and Accessory store. The Breeam awarded eco building launched on the 26th December at the ideally located Goldstone Retail Park. Marsha’s will be the first retail outlet in the country to host 60 PV solar panels on the roof to generate power for the store. Marsha’s will also host The Bright Green store – a sister company offering a variety of eco products.

Murray Media have organised a press event on the 8th January at 2pm to invite key media to see Deputy Mayor David Smith and the BBC’s Changing Rooms eco designer Oliver Heath officially open the brand new store on 8th January 2008.

Marsha’s will produce enough solar energy to power two three bedroom homes, 365 days a year. They will harvest 1 million gallons of rain water a year, which equates to 11 million mugs of tea, and all light bulbs in store are energy saving.

Marsha’s eco store is set to pioneer the retail market, by proving that commercialism can be environmentally responsible. The new store is, from a design perspective a stunning building and shows that being green can be beautiful!

The store will continue to accommodate furniture with the highest standards of design, style and manufacture. They are bringing in local designers to ensure the layout compliments the quality and innovation Marsha’s work so hard to achieve in their offering.

A Festive Night of Comedy with the Prince’s Trust

Youth Charity The Prince’s Trust has an enviable reputation for putting on superb events and this inaugural event in Sussex was no exception. The Price’s Trust brought to Brighton 3 of the UK’s leading comedians for an unforgettable night of food, comedy and fundraising.

Headlining the event was the hilarious Frankie Boyle who is best known for his appearances on ‘Mock of the Week’ and ‘They think it’s all over’. Also appearing were the critically acclaimed Zoe Lyons and Jeff Innocent.

Few venues have the ability to impress like the De Vere Grand in Brighton. Majestically situated on Brighton seafront, this famous building is steeped in history and provided the perfect mix of style and sophistication for a Christmas event to remember.

The evening commenced with a champagne reception, and was then followed by a sumptuous festive feast accompanied by complimentary wine and mineral water. After dinner guests were able to sit back, relax and let the comics take to the stage for what proved to be a fantastically entertaining night.

Murray Media worked with the Prince’s Trust to raise sponsorship, connect media partners and provide prizes for the exhilarating auction which raised nearly £10,000!
