Essential Skills Course

Our 4 week Essential Skills course has become one of the UK's most popular courses for those who love to cook and want to unravel the tricks of the trade to take their cooking to the next level.

Students will learn some of the skills from our Cordon Bleu Certificate course, but without the exams!

The course is practically based with lots of hands on experience and no prior cooking knowledge is required.

More than anything, this course offers the opportunity to gain great professional experience and have fun at the same time!

The July course is timed to start after the A-Level exams have finished, so that those who are going on to university can survive on more than just baked beans on toast!

It is also very popular with Gap Year students, being an ideal short course for people who want to travel and earn money as part of a year out, such as working in ski chalets.

The course is not limited to school leavers though, and can offer even the most seasoned of home cooks a foundation of excellent skills and techniques that will take your cooking to the next level!

Suitable for anyone over the age of 16.

Students on this course are awarded a Certificate of attendance and (at the Principal's discretion) references where required for employment purposes.
