The Mill, Robertsbridge
 

 

The complex of mill buildings adjacent to the River Rother was abandoned two years ago and is now being considered for new uses. ACTA is carrying out ecological surveys to assist in developing appropriate design and mitigation proposals.

The following surveys are underway;
Great Crested Newts
bats
Badgers
Dormice
vegetation, including lower plants
Water Voles
Water Shrews
reptiles
breeding birds
Barn Owls

Other ecological projects:
Old Park, Dover
Bexhill - Hastings Link Road
Kemnal Manor

 


 
Although much of the site comprises buildings and hard surfaces, the presence of protected species such as bats has to be considered
 
Bat surveys are ongoing

  
There is potential for wetland management along the river corridor
