Privacy Policy: Our commitment
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent. This is known as 'opting-in'

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us in the future.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

The information we collect and how we use it
We gather information to allow us to process your registration and facilitate the purchase procedure. The relevant information is then used to maximise the effectiveness of our services, and to increase the speed with which transactions are conducted.

We will not provide, sell, barter or trade any information about you to/with any third parties.

Distance Selling Directive
The European Commission has issued the "Distance Selling Directive", which applies to business-to-customer contracts and is intended to protect online shoppers and provide a level playing field on which businesses can compete.

We fully conform with this directive, and here would like to state the key-points of your rights as a consumer.

The main characteristics of our goods : Every item for sale at www.atomicsounds.co.uk is described with as much detail as possible. If required, further information can always be supplied by contacting Atomic Sounds.

The price including all taxes : All items for sale are clearly priced. Where applicable, all prices include VAT at the prevailing UK rate.

Information on delivery time and costs: Following your enquiry about availability of an item - or a number of items - delivery prices will be supplied for every order.

As a guideline we attempt to charge the following S&H (P&P) fees per order within the UK:
CD/7" = £1.00 for first item, then +50p every subsequent in same order
12"/LP/DVD = £2.00 for first, then +£1.00 every subsequent in same order

European charges are 2 x the UK fees
ROW (Rest of World) charges are 3 x the UK fees

Certain items may incur extra postage costs - customers will be informed of this upon enquiry. We also reserve the right to ship overseas orders by land/sea to minimise costs where necessary.

A written confirmation of the order : After an order has been placed you will receive confirmation by email or fax.

Cancelling your order: You can cancel an order by telephoning or emailing us - stating your order reference information. Goods generally ship out within one working day of us receiving your order - once the goods have shipped you may still return them to us subject to the our returns policy which is shown in full below.

After-sales service and warranty: If, for any reason, any of our products do not reach you in good condition, we will happily replace or refund the items concerned under the terms of our guarantee - see section below for full details. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Payment and Delivery of Goods
Credit Card payment for items available from stock will be taken immediately on receipt of an order. Barring exceptional circumstances, such as adverse weather or any other situation beyond our control, stock items will typically be shipped within one working day from time of payment being received.

Orders for items not in stock at time of ordering will be held, and payment will not be taken (i.e. your credit/debit card will NOT be charged) until such time as the items are received at our office and available to ship to the customer under the same terms as for goods available from stock.

On receipt of an order for an item out of stock, we will inform the customer as soon as is reasonably possible, at that time the customer may choose to cancel their order without penalty.

Items out of stock will typically reach you within 28 days from date of order, more often than not within a week for the UK and within 14 overseas (Sea/Land shipments excluded)

Returns Policy
If, as the customer, you are not satisfied withyour items - as a result of a fault or damage - you should contact Atomic Sounds within 48 Hours of receipt of your purchase. Please note we do NOT exchange or refund items "just because you decided you didn't like the item"

We agree to refund the full purchase price - and the initial outgoing delivery charges - immediately the item(s) is/are received back from you. Please note, the items must be returned in original unplayed condition, (shrinkwrapped if supplied in same) complete with all packaging etc. We reserve the right to return - and not refund or replace - any purchase which we feel has been returned to us erroneously.

Atomic Sounds cannot be held responsible for loss in return shipments. We recommend you insure returns against loss for a sum at least equivalent to the purchase price.
