International Sculpture
The reason for having the two categories of public
art and international sculpture is because the approaches
to the photographs have been rather different.

are supposed to be an exploration of the intent
of the piece, less to do with any public awareness
that it might have
In southern Colorado, just to the north of the New Mexico border
is the small town of San Luis. Just outside the town centre a
new church, The Chapel of All Saints was finished and dedicated
in 1997. To complement its hilltop location, local artist Huberto
Maestas produced near life sized statues of the stations of the
cross cast in bronze and set brilliantly into the landscape they
are part of. This is the 11th Station, the nailing on the cross and
sits just below the church in a prominent position
