These are some of the areas within the term Organisation Development, OD. The main aim within OD is to develop the whole organisation and strengthen the problem-solving skills and abilities within the organisation. Organisation Development draws upon the knowledge and skills from the behavioural sciences.
Organisation Development involves:
Making a diagnosis of what is required in order to improve the effectiveness and establishing objectives
Developing a strategy to obtain these objectives
Developing activities to implement the strategy
Establishing a feedback mechanism to monitor and evaluate progress.
