These photographs are interesting to take in a different
way, for the need is to explore the reasons for why a
feature is to be included in a list or gazetteer and to
record key features. Getting too clever about how
the photograph is taken can be counter-productive
and mask the reason the photograph is needed
The Gravesend Riverside Leisure Area has at its eastern end
a small canal basin and this mooring stone is a relic from days
when the Thames and Medway canal ran near to the open space.
Bomb damage in the Second World War caused some infilling
